Perched on a hill high above the city, make a photo stop at the Citadel National Historic Site. Visit the Victorian Public Gardens, an oasis in the center of the bustling city. Pass by Province House National Historic Site, the 1802 Old Town Clock, 1750 St. Paul’s Anglican Church and the Historic Properties.
Friday May 27, 2016 (afternoon)
2:00PM – 4:00PM
We will visit an historic part of Halifax – the Hydrostone area. This area was completely destroyed after the Halifax Explosion on December 6th, 1917. It was rebuilt using Hydrostone cinder blocks. Now it is also home to The Hydrostone Market. We’ll taste the Liquid Gold olive oils and browse the shops filled with local artisan creations and maybe have coffee on the patio!
