Corinne Golding, FCSC, RSW

(Registered Specification Writer)

My Philosophy

Even though I’m an independent specification writer, I’m never working alone. Successful projects with well-coordinated documents take teamwork.  Besides the design teams with which I work, I have a nationwide network of experienced contacts to help me develop and deliver a quality product.  My passion lies with sharing my knowledge to help produce well-coordinated construction documents, and helping educate and mentor new entrants in the construction industry.

Experience

Since graduating from the Architectural Technology program at NAIT in 1983, I worked for architectural firms across Canada, first as an architectural technologist, and for the last 20+ years as a specification writer. I became an independent architectural specification consultant in November 2016. My projects, in both the public and private sectors, vary widely.  Protect types include laboratories and hospitals, art galleries and museums, mixed use buildings, arenas, schools, and libraries.

I’ve been an active member of Construction Specifications Canada for over 25 years. I became a Registered Specification Writer (RSW) in 1998; served as the CSC national president from 2010 to 2011; and became a fellow of CSC in 2012.  I’m currently serving on the Education Maintenance Team.  I’ve guest lectured at SAIT, University of Manitoba, and Red River College, and have taught CSC courses both in classrooms and on-line, sharing my passion for CSC and its mission to develop and deliver quality education programs, publications and services for the betterment of the construction community.
