Jeffery D. Halashewski, RSW, Elected Vice President for Construction Specifications Canada

Toronto - March 25, 2025 - Construction Specifications Canada is proud to announce the election of Jeffery D. Halashewski, RSW, as its new Vice President.

Jeffery's professional and educational journey is a testament to his diverse interests and commitment to design and construction.
 
Starting in 1993 at Southern Adventist University, his initial focus on mathematics seamlessly transitioned into a passion for architectural technology, culminating in a comprehensive four-year diploma from Fanshawe College. The pursuit of knowledge did not stop there; in 2017, he proudly achieved the prestigious Registered Specifications Writer (RSW) designation, a testament to his commitment to ethical practices and high-quality standards within the construction specifications community. Further enhancing his expertise, he earned a Certificate for Building Science Practice from the University of Toronto in 2022. 

Since embarking on his chosen professional path in 1999, Jeffery has cultivated a wealth of experience across various locations, including London, Mississauga, Bermuda, and Edmonton, before currently leveraging his expertise remotely from Woodstock, Ontario, for DIALOG Toronto. As strong as his professional passion is, his dedication to family is equally important to him which led him back to his roots in Ontario.

Right from the beginnings of Jeff’s CSC journey, he has played a significant role on the local Chapter Executive Committees. Where he has honed his leadership skills that will serve the membership well on the CSC Executive Council. Jeff leads by example and fosters an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all members. 

Along the way, Jeff has gained the confidence to step outside of his naturally quiet demeanour and become an engaging, thoughtful leader, making sure everyone is valued and heard. His leadership in the London Chapter has seen an increase in Chapter Executive members and significant growth in attendance at a variety of Chapter events and activities by both CSC members and non-members as well. 

These qualities will make his contribution to CSC’s Executive Council stronger and more significant as CSC continues to grow and evolve to the benefit of the entire membership.
